What time is check-in?

Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. You may request either an early check-in or a late-departure, however we can not guarantee that we will be able to fulfill your request. 

How old must you be in order to rent one of your properties?

Sway Rentals does not accept bookings from guests under the age of 25. A 25+ guest must be present at the time of check-in and must be staying the property throughout the duration of the rental.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by fax or e-mail in our office. If a refund is applicable, refund payment will be processed within two weeks of cancellation notice and will be in the form of US Check or refund to credit card account. The following assessments will apply to cancellations:

Cancellations made 31 days or more prior to arrival date will result a loss of 25% of booking total.

Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival date will result in the forfeit of 100% of Total Rent. Your reservation will not be subject to refund in case of cancellation due to Hurricane or a natural disaster. 

What is a Damage Waiver Fee?

On your rental agreement you will find a Damage Waiver fee listed in your booking charges. This fee is taken in lieu of a larger refundable security deposit, and is non-refundable. This fee offers you, our guest, as well as the owner of the home protection against accidental damages, up to $1500. Please note, a refundable cash security deposit cannot be accepted in lieu of this fee, as this protection plan is designed to simplify the claim process, if a claim must be made, for the owner of the home.

Is the property pet friendly?

Most of our properties are pet friendly; however, please inquire about the specific property you are interested in to be sure. All pet friendly properties require a $100 nonrefundable pet fee for up to two pets. If you do choose to bring your pet you are responsible for controlling excessive noise caused by the pet (i.e. constant loud and uncontrolled barking). Sway will give a warning upon the first complaint by a neighbor. At this point, you must take every reasonable measure to control the noise problem (i.e. close windows and doors and do not leave pet unattended at any time). Additional complaints will result in an early termination of the rental contract with no refund given.

Can I host an event at the property? 

Each property is individually owned and it is at the owner’s discretion to allow any “event” hosted at the property during your stay. Events include but are not limited to: weddings ceremonies/receptions, birthday parties, family reunions, and any other large gathering that exceeds the predetermined maximum occupancy of each individual property. All events must be pre-approved with Silver Sands Vacation Rentals prior to reservation confirmation. Failure to do so will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
